Golden Jubilee of Sr. Maggie
The parish had a Eucharistic celebration, followed by a reception, in honor of the golden jubilee of Sister Margaret Moore, SSJ, on Sunday September 28, 2008. Sr. Maggie, as the parish knows her, entered the convent September 15, 1958. Her name as a religious in the community was initially Sr. Joseph Leticia until it was permissable for the sisters to be addressed by their birth name. The last 13 of her 50 years in religious life have been spent as an IHM parishoner during her assignment caring for the kids of Paradise School for Boys.
